I never knew that if you took Opana with food, all the medicine would be released all at once! I tried finding more info on this but came up with nothing. Sprinks, could you pm me with the information please. Thanks, Deanna.
Don't we,or wouldn't we get a little perturbed if a Dr didn't give us that same benefit.Think of where you would be sitting in CP without it.
Thank you all for all of your feedback.
Taking with or without food? I have read some say take on a full stomach while others say take on an empty stomach. My script reads take.
You can take it either way. Food can make it a little slower to take effect but I wouldnt say it is stronger one way or the other, it is just a matter of how fast it gets into the system. I think it works faster on an empty stomach, of course. They recommend that you take it with food if it makes you nauseated.
I want to get off the pills, but nothing else works for the pain. How do I deal with the pain and still live. running out before i go to the doctor.

I am on Oxycodone 30MG 4 times a day and Oxycontin 40mg 2 times a day to help with the muscle pain from Lou Gehrig's. I have wondered the same question as when I take my early morning dose before I fill my stomach through my feeding tube, and it seems to work ok.
Take a look at the instructions came at the prescription. I believe it can be taken on an empty stomach; if it can't that will certainly be stated on.
